Mere Parivar recognized that unemployment of youth is a
major concern. Considering this, it has attempted to initiate skill building
for the youths and equipped them with desired skills and technical knowledge so
as to enable them to find a career and future.
In a city like Gurgaon, the population comprise of young
migrants, who are looking for better employment opportunity. While many of the
jobs are casual and un-sustainable, many could not get an employment due to
lack of skills. It is also found that those who managed to get some form of
employment are employed in the private and informal sector .
In this situation Mera Parivar mobilized youth for
undergoing Hotel Management course. The hotel industry is ever expanding that
provide jobs to hundreds of youths in the city.
Mera Parivar ensures that youths are identified from poor
background and less advantage sections of the society.
In the month of May 2015, about 20 youths have approached
Mera Parivar for undergoing Hotel Management training.
They are mostly from the Rural India and North Eastern
States of India in the age group of 20-25 years. They are educated but could
not find jobs in their own states. These applicants came into the city with a
hope of earning an income and for a better livelihood.
In collaboration with OBEROI and WESTINN, both a five star
hotel chain, the youths were given an opportunity for training on hospitality.
The Applicants who were selected have stated that this is an
opportunity to get a reliable job and a career. In the first batch, a total of
6 youths have been admitted for training in the two five star hotel in Gurgaon Harayana.
Mera Parivar will continue to mobilize and motivate youths,
who otherwise are jobs and are directionless. These youths requires guidance
and be shown the way for building up their career and jobs.
