MERA PARIVAR  TRANSFORMING STORY


Thirty–five–year–old  Samundri, her husband and four of   her children came all the way from Bihar to Rajiv Nagar, Gurgoan with a hope to get better livelihood.Her husband, MrLalBabu is an auto driver and earns only Rs 6000 per month. With such a meager income, private english medium school is a far cry for their children. Dream of brighter side of life lingers in her mind, so Sumandri looked hither and thither to find means to supplement their family income.It was real hard in her new world, but as fortune favors her, she came to know about the training center at Mera Parivar through her sister–in–low. She got enrolled in the sewing stream. A ray of hope shines in her mind. Despite the vigorous training, she has been going to the training center and becomes an ardent learner. She is regular and maintains a good standard of punctuality. She is looking forwards to opening her own tailor shop. 



SHE CHERISHES HER DREAMS


Savita, 28 has been always dreaming of going to the outside world and find something new. She got married as soon as she crossed the 10th standard bar. She was unable to continue her further studies as traditional women are not likely to continue their studies after being married, and stay at home as housewife;but she contends this. She wants to come out of this world and find any means to get substantial income for the family, knowing the financial struggle of her husband.Her husband opens a shop gets a return of Rupees 8000/- per month approximately. The major part of his income goes to room rent and other bills. She keeps looking for opportunities. She came to learn about the work of MeraParivar: training women in the community in various fields. She was thrilled to know about the training, so she got herself enrolled in the training in the sewing stream. She is ambitious and active in her training. She cherishes her dreaming of running her own boutique and leaves no stone unturned attain ambition. Though she could not continue her further studies, yet she is happy and is working very hard to make her dream come true

Healthy Children community



    The Government of India, on 24.2.2009, has issued revised guidelines on nutritional and feeding norms.  States/UTs have been requested to provide supplementary nutrition to children below six years of age and pregnant and lactating mothers, in accordance with the guidelines which have been endorsed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court vide its Order dated 22.4.2009.
      Children in the age group of 6 months to 3 years:  Food supplement of 500 calories of energy and 12-15 gms. of Protein per child per day as Take Home Ration (THR) in the form of Micro nutrient Fortified Food and/or energy-dense food marked as ‘ICDS Food Supplement’.
         




 Children in the age group of 3-6 years:  Food supplement of 500 calories of energy and 12-15 gms of Protein per child per day.  Since a child of this age group is not capable of consuming of meal of 500 calories in one sitting, the guidelines prescribed provision of morning snack in the form of milk/banana/seasonal fruits/Micro nutrient Fortified Food etc. and a Hot Cooked Meal.
    Severely underweight children:  Food supplement of 800 calories of energy and 20-25 gms of Protein per child per day in the form of Micro nutrient fortified and/or energy dense food as Take Home Ration.

    Mera Parivar is feeding every day 190 meal to Children hot cook food at centre yearly we serve 49400 meal to Children on 260 working day.we would  encourage  you to sponsor meal as per your wish.
